At Eiger Funded you buy a Simulated Demo Trading Account, prove on it that you can reach a profit target without breaking the loss limits, and then trade a funded account on which you can request an 80% reward. There are four stages, always in the same order, and none of them has a deadline.
There is no instant-funding product. Every account on every program is evaluated before it is funded, and every rule that can fail an account is published on the trading rules page before you pay.
Key takeaways
- Four stages: buy, evaluate, trade funded, request rewards.
- The evaluation is one step (1-Step Challenge, Pay After You Pass) or two (2-Step Challenge), each with a 5% target.
- Loss limits are wider while you evaluate (5% daily, 12% overall) and tighter once funded (3% and 6%).
- A breach fails the account at once. A first step that ends by a breach or by inactivity can be restarted once at half the full fee.
Stage one: buying the account
You choose a program and one of five sizes, from €10,000 to €200,000, and pay a one-time fee. The 2-Step Challenge starts at €60, the 1-Step Challenge at €98. Pay After You Pass uses the 1-Step fee but takes only part of it at checkout: 13% on the 10K size (€12.74), 10% on the 25K and 20% on 50K and up. The rest is due after you pass.
The home page describes what the fee pays for: the account, the eTrader platform and the software that checks your trades against the rules. It is not a deposit or an investment. Your account is created on eTrader after checkout. What a Simulated Demo Trading Account is goes into the product itself.
Stage two: the evaluation
The evaluation asks for one thing, a 5% profit on the account size, while you stay inside every rule. The 2-Step Challenge asks for it twice, once in each step. The 1-Step Challenge and Pay After You Pass ask once.
Each step also needs at least 5 trading days and 5 closed trades before it can be passed. A trading day is a UTC calendar day on which a trade was closed or a position was open. So even if you reach 5% on your second day, the step is not passed until the activity minimum is met too.
One more thing can hold a pass back without failing anything: no single day may make up more than 50% of total profit. If one day carries more than half, the pass waits until profit is spread across more days. The account stays live while it waits.
There is no time limit on any step. The one clock is the inactivity rule: more than 5 days without opening or closing a trade fails the account. The days are full 24-hour periods, weekends included, counted from your last trade, or from activation if you have not traded yet. The home page puts it simply: place at least one trade every 5 days to keep it live.
No deadline to hit the target, but no going quiet for 5 days either.
A worked example on a €10,000 2-Step Challenge
The fee is €60. Here is what each rule means in euro on this size.
| Step 1 target | €500 | 5% of €10,000, with at least 5 trading days and 5 closed trades. |
|---|---|---|
| Step 2 target | €500 | 5% of the account size again, same activity minimum. |
| Daily loss, evaluating | €500 | 5% within one trading day, closed and floating positions together. |
| Overall drawdown, evaluating | €1,200 | 12% of the account size, trailed from the account's peak equity. |
| Daily loss, funded | €300 | 3% within one trading day. |
| Overall drawdown, funded | €600 | 6%, trailed from the account's peak equity. |
| Profit to request a payout | €1,000 | 10% of the account size, on every payout. |
Notice that on this size the daily loss limit during the evaluation is the same number as the step target: €500. A single bad day can undo as much as a whole step's target. Once funded, the limits tighten again, to €300 a day and €600 overall. What changes after you pass lists everything that changes and everything that does not.
Stage three: the funded account
Pass the last step and a funded account opens. On Pay After You Pass it opens on the day the rest of the fee is paid; on a €10,000 account that is €85.26. There is no deadline to pay it.
The funded account runs on exactly the same rule set as the evaluation, with one difference: the drawdown limits. The daily limit drops from 5% to 3%, and the overall limit drops from 12% to 6%. Both overall limits trail from peak equity. Every other rule, from the 10-minute stop-loss grace to the 22:00 UTC holding cutoff, applies in both stages.
Stage four: requesting rewards
The first payout can be requested 14 days after the funded account opens. Each request after that opens 18 days after the previous request. Each request needs profit of at least 10% of the account size, at least 5 trading days and 5 closed trades, no single day making more than 50% of total profit, all positions closed, no open or pending violations, and identity verification (KYC) completed before the first payout. On Pay After You Pass the rest of the fee must have been paid, and the 14 days count from the day it was.
The 50% line works the same way as in the evaluation. It never fails the account; the payout request simply waits until profit is spread across more days.
The reward is 80% of the simulated profit, paid in real money. Approved payouts are released immediately; how long they take to arrive depends on your bank or the crypto network. On Pay After You Pass, the amount paid at checkout is refunded with the first reward.
Most traders do not make a profit, and results on Simulated Demo Trading Accounts vary. Passing an evaluation is never certain.
What happens if you break a rule?
The account fails. There are no warnings, no partial penalties and no soft strikes, and rules are checked automatically against your trade history. This is the same in the evaluation and on the funded account.
There is one second chance. If the first step of any program ends, by a breach or by inactivity, you can restart that same account once, at half the full fee for its size. On the €10,000 2-Step Challenge that is €30. It applies to the first step only, and only once per account. Otherwise you can buy a new account at any time. What happens when you breach covers the options.
Frequently asked questions
Is there instant funding?
No. Every account on every program is evaluated before it is funded. There is no instant-funding product.
How long do I have to pass?
There is no time limit on any step. You need at least 5 trading days and 5 closed trades per step, and the account fails if more than 5 days (full 24-hour periods, weekends included) pass without you opening or closing a trade.
Do the rules change after I pass?
Only the drawdown limits: 5% daily and 12% overall while you evaluate, 3% daily and 6% overall on the funded account. The overall limit trails from peak equity in both. The full list is on the trading rules page.
Which program should I start with?
The site puts it this way: Pay After You Pass for the smallest start, the 2-Step for the lowest one-time fee, the 1-Step for one phase paid once. The programs are compared at eigerfunded.com.
Read the rules, then pick a program
Every rule that can fail an account is published in full before you pay. Three programs, five sizes, an 80% reward and no time limit on any step.
